U13 Blitz - John Higgins and Michael Haran Cups, Curry GAA: Well done to our U13 Naomh Eoin boys who played Aghamore, Curry and St. Mary’s and put on a brilliant display of football on Saturday. During a very competitive group stage, all four teams got a chance to play one another with Aghamore coming out on top of the group.
NWTH U15 Championship Div1 Semi Final: Hard luck to our U15 lads who played St Brigids on Monday evening. A a very entertaining game but just wasn't our day.
Fenagh Carnival Weekend: Taking place from the 31st July - 2nd August in Mollys Bar and Lounge for a weekend of wonderful events.
Connacht Gold Senior Championship: Fenagh St Caillin’s are set to play Allen Gaels in the first round of the championship. Dates and times to be confirmed.
RIP Peter Duignan: Fenagh St Caillins GAA were saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Duignan. Peter and his family resided in Fenagh for many years where his sons Pete, Francis and Ciarán represented the Club at all levels during a successful time in the 90s and 00s with Ciarán also going on to represent Leitrim with distinction.
Many will remember Peter from his years teaching in St. Felim’s where he had a great interest in coaching school teams and supporting the development of youth footballers within the area. Peter was instrumental in the establishment of the Corn Breifne Schools Competition, with St. Felim’s enjoying many successes under his guidance.
Peter and his family have been great supporters of Fenagh GAA and he will be fondly remembered. We ask you to remember them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We pass on our condolences to his wife Martha, sons Pete, Francis and Ciarán, daughters-in-law, Eilis, Noreen and Eimear, grandchildren, his brother Marcus and extended family members.
